Interactive Toys
Overview
Role: Design Manager & Designer
Objective: Create designs for electronic toys for a variety of ages, licenses and original IP.
Solution: Develop toys that function intuitively, ideally there should be no need for instructions, but simultaneously ensure there is depth in the play pattern so they are fun to engage with over and over again.
Design & Production
This collection shows interactive toys that were manufactured, as well as development concepts and early sketches. Making toys of this nature requires a lot of R&D and partnership with both mechanical and electronic engineering. Making early and iterative breadboards is essential. Inventor partnerships can be a great resource for this type of development, as was the case for Fox in a Box, Magic Blanket Babies and Purse Pets.
